In a previous question we discussed the role of women and avodas Hashem as it relates to marriage and having children. This week's question is in addition to that question. To add to that past question about a woman's role in avodas Hashem, is there a place to just sit and relax or hang out with friends if I have a slot of free time? Or should my time be used to dive in or learn instead? Dator Rebbe N'Tanya speaks about three categories. One category is the realm of Kadusho, the realm of Mitzvos. Another category is the realm of Shlosh Kripos Hatmeyos, that which by definition is non-godly. And then there's this middle category, and the middle category is mostly where life occurs, and that's what the altareba calls Kripas Noga. And Kripas Noga means it's an admixture of Tov and Ra. It goes without saying that when we have the opportunity to do a mitzvah, we should grab that opportunity.
Shlos Klipos Atmeyos The question is not should I take a break or should I not take a break? Should I use every moment to learn? Should I not use every moment to learn? The real question is what is your responsibility in that moment? And you need to know yourself. Baruch Hashem I was blessed to have Rebbeim who taught me that the key principle in serving Hakadosh Baruch Hu is that you must be normal. And normal people take breaks. Normal people hang out with friends. The only question is, what is our responsibility when we're taking those breaks with those friends?

It goes without saying that there shouldn't be a Moshev Laitzim, it shouldn't be a place of lush and horror, it shouldn't be a place where inappropriate things are being spoken about, of course. And yet sometimes it's good just to hang out with friends and relax. Why? So that we can come back to Serv Hakadosh Baruch Hu. If you don't take breaks, especially as your family grows, if you don't take breaks and Gheigizun Tehiq Go say T'hilim Go learn How beautiful is that? And at the same time, if you feel like you're not a child, you can be married. If you feel like you're a child, you can be a child. But if you have a free moment, I really want to encourage you to think about what it is that you need right now. If you feel like you don't need the break, then great. Gheigizun Tehiq, Go say T'hilim, Go learn, How beautiful is that?
Be sure to check out the video on how to make sure I'm taking care of myself and spending time with my friends. That is equally beautiful. That also can be elevated to the realm of Todosha. It's not B'Diyeved, it's L'Chathri'la. Unfortunately, today we are so busy. We're busier than we've ever been, perhaps in the history of the world. Especially for women today who have responsibilities at home and have responsibilities of work. We will ultimately come back to serving our kadosh baruch with strength.
