Okay, very important. New Perek and Tanya today. We're going to start something fundamental today. So everyone lock in. Page Kuf Sam Adal. Do you go to the L.R.U.M? No. Va odyesh lakol nefesh lokish slosh el voushim. Up until now we've been discussing the anatomy of the soul. Okay? So we were discussing the intellect of the skull. We were discussing the emotion of the soul. V'od yesh l'chol nefesh elokish shlosh l'chol l'chol l'chol Shehem makhshava your thoughts debor your speech mysa your actions Makhshava debor be mysa sheltayag mitzvos atora Of the 613 Mitzvos of the Torah So you can express all 613 Mitzvos of the Torah When you engage with those Mitzvos, either through one of three mediums We're going to discuss why they're called Levushim so don't worry about that Every mitzvah in the Torah is going to come down to either thoughts, speech, or action.

Mashavah Dibor V'Mysa Now, if I'm speaking, is my godly soul clothed? No. My godly soul is only clothed when it's engaging with the 613 mitzvahs of the Torah. Okay? What does it mean to be clothed? We're going to see. Next line. Okay? So far so good? Tovya, good. Okay, again, what we're speaking about here is, again, we spoke about the anatomy of the soul in the sense of the soul is made of three components, Nefeshuruk and Neshama, right? Then each one of those components of the soul has ten spheroes, right? Ten aspects of the soul. That was the three intellectual, the seven emotional. Now we're speaking about how the soul interacts with the world, okay? And specifically we're speaking about how the godly soul interacts with the world. Now you're going to know this is going to change your life. So when the godly soul engages with godliness through the mediums of Machshavah, Dibor, and Mysa, then the soul is clothed in godly garments.

We're going to explain what that means. Machshavah is your thoughts, Dibor is your speech, Mysa is your action. Yeah. No, it will always involve a vush, but we'll see that it will sometimes be even more expansive We have to understand more in a second just to clarify questions. My Godly soul is engaging with the world, right? In three ways. Machavel, your thoughts, debore your speech, mysere your actions. Now, when is it engaged in a Godly way? When I do one of the 613 mitzvos with my thoughts, This part won't. This is a little bit different. Now let's understand what this means in the practical sense. Tanya will spell it out. Shekeshah the Mekai's Now let's understand what this means in a practical sense. Tanya's going to spell it out. Shekeshah ademikayim b'mysa kol mitzvos mysyas When a person, right, when a person does an action-oriented mitzvah, okay?

What would be an example of an action-oriented mitzvah of Ozai? Lululunessvuk is a very good one. Tviliu, okay? Ubedibur, who Osik, listen carefully to what the outer-eveh says here. Befayresh Kol Tiyag Mitzvos Rechosaiyim Ummah Shavah Ummah Shavah Pashat Rames Jushon Sot Pashat is the simple understanding. Jush is the explanation. Rames is the hints in the Torah to deeper concepts and so does the Kabbalah that's the secrets of the Torah. So when you are sitting and learning all dimensions of Torah what's happening inside of you guys? Your levushim of your soul are engaged. Harei klallos tayag evare nacho miluboshim bitayag mezos a'toro. Your body is made up from a kabbalistic perspective. Your body is made up of 613 limbs. And each limb, we want that limb to be clothed in godliness.

So what happens when I take my mind and I use my mind for godliness? My mind is now clothed in godliness because my mind is one of the Faculties of Expression of the Soul. Okay, so my thoughts are Meaning three things your thoughts your speech and your action are the expressions of the soul in the world Those are the Levushim. Okay. Now. I want my 613 limbs of my body to be connected to be enclosed in 613 mitzvos of the Torah right because I want my entire being to be godly L'vush is the L'vush of Dibur and Mysa, the three Levushim of the soul. My soul has three ways of expressing itself. Thoughts, speech, action. The soul is connected to every fiber of my being. So by expressing it, the soul is connected to every fiber of my being.

When my soul expresses itself in the world of action, right, that's the lavush of the soul. When I'm acting right now, that's a lavush of the soul, right? So if I act in, let's say, an action-oriented way, I put tfilin on my body, right? So then what's the lavush of the soul of action doing? It's enclosing my body in, it's connecting my body to the tayyag mitzvah Torah. When I speak godly things, namely, explanations of the Torah and the halachas of the Torah, Then my faculty of speech and all of that's inside, right? Makes sense? Got it? Alright. I was just trying to make sure I got this down. Mm-hmm. When a person does an action oriented mitzvah or speaks about them or who just has intellect to understand them, then he closes body, speech, and mind with holy garments, and the goal is that you have all 613 capitalistic parts of the body, or correspond to the 613 possible garments for this whole...

Correct. 613 mitzvos are now... Now my body has become a temple so to speak of the Torah. In other words... Because you're imbuing the so called... you're imbuing your body with each of the... Right, it's like the Gemara says that somebody who doesn't wear tzfillah is a kafte dalom ar-tzfillah and he's like a carcass, right? Because the tzfillah directly relates to the head. So if you remove the head of a person, right, because his head is not brought into the world of godliness, so then like, what is he doing? He's just a carcass, can't live without a head. Ube Pratos Pej kuf samarzayin Now let's get a little bit more detailed about this. By the way, I hope you're understanding now that we just made a major move, because now you learned something about the nature of a mitzvah. A mitzvah is not foreign. A mitzvah is homeopathic.

It's natural. You understand? Tvudah l MR visited the COMATHIZOG d some of the passives you just know him do that N Shabbat Shalom I happen to love brownies. Like really good brownies are amazing. Okay, but that's my Nefesheb

And not worth repeating. So those are the follows. After eating healthy for six months, I ate a tray of brownies. How would I feel? Disgusting. After you eat unhealthy for six months, how do you feel when you eat a tray of brownies? It doesn't even have an impact. Why? Because when you're healthy, so then you're properly calibrated. You're properly aligned. On A Person is Properly Aligned, Doing the Mitsvos is the Most Natural Thing in the World in Fact Not Doing Them Would be like I'm not doing it but when You're not Properly Aligned when You've Fallen into that rut ofettes I'm not doing it I'm not doing it I'm not doing It I'm not doing It So Then to Actually gain The momentum to do it is so difficult Rafi Don't You gain Scar of the mitzvah's heart for you? Yeah but we're not interested in Scar no for sure not the Mishnah and avot says that Be the opposite. Be like a person who is serving his Master without any consideration of reward.

I want to be in a relationship with God because I want to be in a relationship with God. The fact that there is reward involved, as Chazal say, Char mitzvah mitzvah, the reward of the mitzvah is the mitzvah itself. I'm not interested in like palaces in the sky or 70 virgins. That's not interesting to me. That's why when people say like well you got to do a mitzvah Tanya I was going to say bigger award in playing. Yes. That's what we say when we say there's more shaar. What we mean to say is there's more of a revelation of the importance of the relationship. What if you're doing things for yourself?

That's also not great because if you're only doing things for yourself then you're sort of missing the point. This is about what God wants, it's not about what I want. Because again, because Roy, I'll tell you what it looks like. People say like … well, it's all for you anyway, right? God doesn't need your divining so it's all for you. Then you learn Torah for yourself. Right, but then the problem is what happens when you don't want it. If everything is only for you, then you only do it as long as you want to do it. If it's about God, then what you have is loyalty. But you just don't push yourself. It's true, but as long as you're right, you're only going to push yourself as long as you want to push yourself. I'll give you an example. If I'm married to my wife for me, what happens when she's no longer interesting to me? Meaning everyone has shalom bias issues, everyone has some shalom bias issues, everyone gets into a fight.

What happens if somebody says, I'm not interested in being in a relationship with this person anymore. Well, then they should get divorced. So if you're committed to her, right, not because of what she does for you, but because you're committed to her, then even when she's not doing stuff that you love, it's like, okay, well, we're committed, I'm loyal to you, I mean even if God doesn't need you, we're going to say back. You can stop learning and stuff that. But people do stop all the time and the reason they stop is because the only reason they were doing it to begin with was for themselves. It's like I like learning so I'll learn. Okay, what happens if you don't? If you learn, you have no sense that God's doing it for you. Even if you do something bad. For Whose knowledge? For what?

If you decide to, you have your ego, right, that's your Nefeshe Shabbat Ha'am is telling you do what you want, right, and that's go out and party and say whatever you want, whenever you want, eat whatever you want, think whatever you want, right, that's what people do, right? What do you mean, well, what's the goal? Get you where? The point is that I want to create myself into a vehicle, right, for another, right, so that's what it means to be a husband, right? Be a husband means I'm nullifying my ego to be connected to a person. That's what it means to be a father, right? Because you're going to want to do your own thing, but you have loyalties and responsibilities to your kids. That's what it means to be a Jew. That's why I believe that people that work on themselves in Yeshiva, waking up from minyan, coming to davening, actually davening, understanding there's a higher power in the world greater than me, as they nullify their ego, it's true.

They become better people. They become better parents. They become better husbands. They become better employees. Because what destroys the world is ego. I believe if you ask me what's the revolution of Chassidos in general, in specific, and Judaism in general, that's what it is. You're standing at the crossroads of two versions of yourself. If everything is all about you, that's ego and that's narcissism. If everything is all about God, then you've nullified the ego and that's how you go somewhere in your life. Does that make sense? Sam, you hear it? Michael, make sense? Ezra? So this is you, you don't get ready for it? What bothers you? I'm just working through my head. You're working it through? Okay. Jonathan? When you do it for God. Tovin? Are you doing it? That's right. It's a very, you're asking an excellent question. Jonathan is saying as follows.

When I'm doing it for God, you could even there have ego. What would be the ego? I want to be connected to God, right? So even that's a little bit, on a very high level, even that's like a little bit of ego. B'chinas Chochmabina das Shabbenasho M'lubashos bahasogas atorah Shehumasig b'chatremes Jushz Sot We said before, the godly soul has the capacity for intelligence. And what does it do with that intelligence? Again, we're speaking specifically about the godly soul. It wants to understand God's Torah. Namely, the levush of the power of Chachmabinah and Dass of the Nefeshelokiss, when a person Tovilin Louruns. Gadz Torah. So the koach of the Seikhel of a person is now in is now clothed in the koacham a'chava of the Neifchillokiss I didn't say that so clearly. let me try again. Okay. You have a human capacity for intelligence, right? What would you say about that human capacity for intelligence? I would say it's parv. It's neutral. It's not been defined Is that what you're saying?

It is Godly. No, no, no. I'm saying right now it's not. The human being has the capacity for intelligence. It's not Godly intelligence and it's not non-Godly intelligence. It's just the capacity for intelligence. It's raw potential. You're just a human being with intelligence. You haven't even utilized that intelligence yet. But it's unlimited and it's not unlimited. Well, first of all, intelligence is definitely not unlimited. Intelligence is very limited. I can only understand the known ones who are not. The Godly soul wants to own your intelligence. Remember, your godly soul wants to take over your entire being. Let me finish this point, Benzin, and I'll get right to you. Therefore, this is what's critical now. When you learn Torah, now the L'vush, the clothing, the godly clothing of intelligence has taken over your intelligence. So think of it as like, let's say my hand, right? Right now my hand is nothing.

There's nothing on my hand. I have two puppets, right? When I put one puppet on my hand, now that's the puppet that I have on my hand. So my intelligence is parv. It's like a nothing. It's just there, right? I could use it in a non-godly way or I could use it in a godly way. Lerting Torah I have now clothed my mind, my intelligence, in godliness. It's now where in godly garments? Bentsi. What do you mean that it's a parlour? It's non-defined. It's not flesh-ics and it's not milch-ics. Your intelligence, again, right now your intelligence, learning Torah, is clothed in godliness. But your intelligence just by itself is a zero. It's just a question of what you're going to put on top of it. So it's like a hand without a puppet. If you engage your intelligence in a godly way, what is the definition of your intelligence? It's owned by your godly soul. And if I use the Qasr Shulam for the opposite, it's owned by your animal soul.

Yeah, that's a very big challenge. When a person has pervasive thoughts, it's very difficult to say that my mind is clothed in godliness when we're also like... I mean, nobody's mind is completely clean of... Okay, but remember, Rafi, what's the point? We're not trying to be totally clean, right? We're doing our best within the struggle where we're shoyim trying to become benonim. So the fact that we are not clean, it kind of makes sense. I'm saying, so even if it's not, like, then, how clean does that have to be for your mind to be? Any engagement in any level of Torah is... So it overtakes the non-g happiness? Forget the non-g happiness for a second. Right now you have a part of your mind that is not thinking about anything, right? When it's thinking about Torah, that aspect of your mind is clothed in godliness.

It's not an all-or-nothing, that's what I'm saying. It's not all or nothing. That's right. It's not all or nothing. Toviyev. Toviyev's saying all is well-shelved. B'Chinas Chachma Binadash shoprisANSi Beivinashot Tanya, your mind is not engaged entirely. Just read it in the context of the last sentence that we Made. Yeah, Ezra. Does Pshatreos and Rav Suv all come at the same time? Nope. It's levels like onions. I don't know if you know where that's from. That's correct. It's like an onion, right? So you peel it back one layer at a time, so when you're little you're learning Pshat. You get a little older. Rammaz is a little older you learned Yershne and a little older you learned Sot. And the more you learn by the way, the more enamored you are with it. Because you're like, now I'm seeing a whole new dimension. That's what's exciting about it.

Rafi. So obviously when we learn Torahs straight out, how do we know what's the right Sot and what's the right Sot? Okay, so I'm saying that's why you have Rebbeim who train you as their Rebbeim trained then, to understand what is what. That's why people always say, like, what were you learning when you spent eight years by Raph Parnas? Chassidus Chassidus Chassidus Chassidus is one dimension of the sot. Now, how much do you have to know? So listen to other of us, it's very practical. Kephiyachol ha-sah sagaso visharas nashilam allah. Everyone will understand according to their capacity to understand which comes from where? The root of their soul in Shammayim. So some people are gifted with very high levels of intelligence, some people are not as gifted with very high levels of intelligence. How much do you need to do? However, most of the time,

Tovia Tovia Not for you relative to Zach. You understand the difference? Mm-hmm. And depends whatever klee you have. That's what you've been given. Hashem HaChadim He is a super genius. I'll translate. And he's very connected to Akolosh Baruch. Through learning. Can you say that you are Neshama? Which is not a super genius. Correct. Yes. He's... Mohammed Alexandria,

Yur Cup is this big and Yur Avodah is to fill up that cup. So you're not looking relative to somebody else. I'm going to give you a great example of this, what it looks like in action in Chineh, when you understand this. You was just asking for understanding this. Yeah! That's right. He was. He was, because the shaar of his soul above. He was given super super talents, talents that are not more. So he's just smart. Yeah! Much smart. I'll tell you a beautiful I'll tell you a beautiful example of what this looks like in Chineh. Anybody here from the five towns? The Craziest Letters and we were what's called a behavior modification program, a Bill Pelham specifically, a Bill Pelham behavior modification program. So the way it works is as follows, unbelievable. The way it works is as follows. Day one of the program, the kids come and you teach them there's a points system.

Every single action that they do has a points consequence. Basically, it's like a basic Intro to late class. If a kid gets up to bat, and he hits a single, then you go, way to go, way to go. He could get good sportsmanship and that gives him like thirty points. Or if a kid comes back and somebody comes back at him... ...he can lose points for negative sportsmanship. Every single action they could do has an immediate points consequence. It's amazing. Be It Points Consequence It's Amazing! And so basic...what was that? It's like a basic introside class, like an experiment in psychology. It's amazing! So what happens is basically the way it works is there's one counselor for every two and a half kids, okay? So there's a lot of counselors. And to be a counselor on this program you have to be very talented. So basically what you did was there was one person who was taking points, okay? And he's sitting there with a clipboard writing it down as fast as it's being called out. And you have another person who's taking points.

All the counselors are constantly calling out points. What happens is you get so into it, you start calling out points, even with your friends. We would go to play baseball after camp, because a lot of the LIJ counselors are good athletes also, so you go to play baseball after camp. And a kid gets a single and somebody goes, alright, way to go, way to go, and you go, plus 30, positive reinforcement. You just start calling points on your friends. You call parents points on your siblings. Every 15 minutes is a new sheet of paper. So you can actually monitor, which is amazing because a lot of these kids are heavily medicated. Let's tell you what happened. So you can monitor every 15 minutes how many points they got in those 15 minutes. They had a computer program where all the points were entered into. What was that? One counts for every two. Two and a half kids. So now one second, so every 15 minutes, we could see when a kid's medicine was wearing off to the tune of 15 minutes.

Geshmat Trips It's amazing. So what happens the kids now people like dishing out carmen But we don't tell them that on the first week because these kids are brilliant and that's exactly what they would do Right. So we don't tell them that now the second week we get up and go. Did you like the trip that first week? They go that was awesome. Guess what this week? We're going to this even better trip And now there's three levels if you hit the same amount of points that you did last week and you didn't do 10% battery only Let's say did 5% better then you don't get to go on the trip

If you do worse, then there's a punishment. We don't want you going down. So what's amazing is these kids get focused. They're like, okay, I gotta get to 1100 points this week. So now every time a kid strikes out, that kid's going over and he's going like, good try man, good try. You get him next time. Positive 30. And these kids are working on accruing points. So you'll say to yourself, what's the value of that? Here's the value. They're building habits. These kids who... I didn't reach it, I might as well start acting like I wasn't for him. We had kids that weren't just ADHD. We had kids that weren't just oppositional defiance disorder. We had kids that had Tourette's syndrome and had a tic. So we could even modify out the behavior of the tic. So there was one kid, I'll never forget him, amazing kid, sweetest kid in the world. He had Tourette's syndrome.

Every three steps he would walk and then he would spin in a circle. So he would like walk three steps, spin in a circle. Walk three steps, spin in a circle. Walk three steps, spin in a circle. This is a very good question. So because we were Taylor making a program for him, if he spun in a circle, right, he would get a certain amount of negative points. But we knew how to make this kid feel like a, no, our theory was, right, again it wasn't my theory, I was only 19 at the time. But the theory of this LIJ program was we run out of LIJ hospital. The theory of the program was they can control it, but they need to learn that there's an immediate negative consequence to their behavior. So this kid Elliot- All the Tourette's is like the understand?

Tanya Rebbe nachman Rebbe nachman Rebbe nachman Rebbe nachman Rebbe Mevaseret chazaq nachman He was this amazing athlete, a genius of a kid, but Tal was, he had oppositional defiant disorder, which means that any time you say something as the authority figure, he has this compulsion to do the exact opposite. So I'll never forget, I'll tell you what got Tal what was the ultimate straw that broke the bat in Campbell's back. You had to win, but you couldn't care like him? We had to. You'll see why in a second. He was violent. He was dangerous. He was hurting other kids. So it's all over you? No. What was that? Yeah. No. So for what I'm saying, for you it would be called don't behave. For whom he is a compulsion. So this kid... I was thinking, if you order him to do something like cycle off from what you want him to do, then what he just did...

Yeah, but that doesn't really solve the problem. Because my goal is to get him to be able to listen, right? So... So for him it didn't. There were other kids with ODD that it did work, but not for him. So here's the amazing thing about Tal. This was by far the funniest thing he ever did, which was also... this was the wrong thing, but as a counselor, like, afterwards, I was like, that was amazing, right? What was it? We're about to take the picture. We're all lined up on the benches. All of a sudden I hear Tagoh. One... What is he saying? Two... Other counselors are looking at each other and he goes, THREE! He had arranged with the entire bunk that when he says three, they're all gonna run in different directions. The entire bunk is gonna disperse. It wasn't just Abzun al-Daba'im for himself. He figured out how to get everyone into it.

And like, everybody said, these kids were like... That's not getting Gouran getting kicked out for it. He didn't get kicked out for that. I'll tell you what he got kicked out for in a second. So he told us that every kid was flying. And the counselors were like, like, what? Because we had these kids. By that point in the summer, picture day is like halfway through the summer, we had these kids like following instructions. He undid the entire bunk. So Tal was adopted. His mother loved him very, very much. His mother came in to, we had his mother, the head psychologist of the program, a woman whose name was Mary Courtney, who was considered one of the biggest psychologists in all of New York. She was running our program. Back then she was just Mary Courtney, now today she's like Mary Courtney. It was all Jewish kids, but not necessarily Orthodox, even though it's an Orthodox camp. But the people that worked, meaning the psychologists, Mary Courtney wore a cross. I used to call her Sister Mary.

And she loved being in like a room environment. She was like, it's controlled chaos. That's what it's like in a room environment. I was like, you don't even know the half of it. The first time she ever saw a beis medrash, she was like, that is the most innovative educational model I've ever seen in my entire life. I was like really we've been doing it for thousands of years. It's amazing because the kids can discover the learning on their own and they don't necessarily need to sit and work at their own pace. And I'm like yeah. Yeah, well you think you're doing as normal. Anyway, so but it was amazing. Like imagine seeing a guy who was an expert in education seeing a base measures for the first time. It was an amazing thing. What got Tal kicked out of camp? As I mentioned we had to get Tal's mother to come to camp because she could never believe how badly he was behaving in camp. So Mary told his mother, she's like, you have to come see. So we're sitting in lunch, we're sitting in the dining room.

And do you know in the dining rooms they have those metal pitchers that they fill up like in the summer with like ice and water? So Tal cursed. Is that a curse word? His mother was sitting next to him. He was 12 years old. He may have even been 13. And she gave him like a little pouch in the mouth. She went like that to him. You're not gonna curse. Okay Right next to Tal on the other side was a kid who had Asperger's syndrome okay, and this kid knew everything about planes and Especially being in a camp that was right over JFK You know we're right over the flight path of JFK like we could be in the middle of like playing baseball I was in the camp of like playing Dover. He looked at me and go that's a double engine, but it's 747 But that's a mental season. He was just like okay But he knew everything about planes. It was amazing so this other kid cursed

The moment of silence and all of a sudden like, you know, it's like a moment of like hesitation and then like we just see this kid's blood is like everywhere, Yitzi jumps across the table, tackles Taal, pulls him into a physical restraint. I rushed the kid to the nurse, we took his teeth, he ended up having to have his teeth implanted. Obviously you can't keep him in the program after that. It was the only kid that I can remember in my time ever having to be with him. She understood. No, I think it was Dhafka because his mother was there. Yeah. No, but why? He was very like his mind worked like this nobody's, nobody's not anybody's fault. He has a disorder. So I have no idea how he's doing now. He's not gonna be good with Aspergues. But, Mary did tell me that for a lot of those kids they end up in jail because they can't learn like how to behave in line with society.

What do I love about that program? Why do I think he didn't ask me when I go to the camp? You just like, tell them to do it. No, because he also had behaviors that needed to be modified. He also had other things. It wasn't because of the Ask Program. It was because of other things that he needed to learn. It was an experimental program, so there were so many things that we had. Every single type of disorder that you could think of was in the program, because we were seeing what could work for a Bill Pella Behavior Modification Program. But here's what's amazing. We only do this because we're seeing a lot of people who are doing it. We're seeing a lot of people who are doing it. Can you fill up your coasts? We talk about the soul as being separate from the heart and the mind. Is it really separate in the sense that like does Araf al-Arab's intelligence come from his soul?

Does it come from the cells that make up his mind? So again, from the perspective of Chassidus, the cells that make up your mind are manifestations of the soul. So yes, the design of his soul was of particular intelligence. But the mind can be used in two ways. So it's not uniquely godly, it only becomes godly when I use it for godly things. In other words, it's not godliness that makes you intelligent. Your soul makes you intelligent. Now the question is which soul will you be listening to? Your nefesh shabbah, your nefesh salukis. Okay, let's keep going because I want to get through... Okay, let's keep going. I want to get through. Okay, look, Aleph and I'm feeling more questions are coming. Okay. The Hamidos. So far we've spoken about intelligence. Vay

Vahamidos Shehyn Yerushal What about your Midos cause what are your Midos? Your Midos are your love of God, your fear of God and the toldos. What are the toldos? The rest of the Midos cause all other Midos are offshoots of love and fear. Melebashos kiyom hamitzvos bemayse ubedibor shehu tommut Torah kneged kula Okay, so how do you engage loving God and fearing God? Right? How do you engage them? So the answer is that when you speak words of Torah and you do the actions of the Torah, namely the mitzvos of the Torah, Those become levushim, they become clothing for the Midos of the soul, okay? Which means to say, at the moment that a person is speaking words of Torah or doing a mitzvah, in that moment his avas Hashem and his yeras Hashem are milubosh in in Dvretairah and mitzvos. You mean they're active or something? Meaning, I have right now the capacity to love and the capacity to fear. Am I going to use them

Ravi is sitting in Sheer and Ravi says something and Ravi is processing in his mind. But now Ravi says, wait Ravi I don't understand how that could fit in with the Rashi that we said earlier. In that moment as he is speaking those words of Torah that are coming out of his mouth are Tovia Tovia Tovia Amitsva in action, rather engaging a part of your soul. When you have love and fear engaged in godliness, that engages the emotions in a godly way.

I chose to do a Mitzvah, right? But, Paul, right now I'm giving Sadaka, and the moment that you're giving Sadaka, and the moment that you're rapping Tvilla, the primary emotions of yourself, and by extension, the emotions that flow from there, are clothed in godliness. So two things. First of all, that's what you're... One second, right? Disgusting. It's being put in thought or action. It's also a question on the... Too many questions at once. Look what he says. Kaddas Tawidh Meshir Eshel Okay, yeah. So the fire is from Mishra, so is that something to explain to us, other people that need to discuss Mishra? Discuss, to discuss. Does that typically have to be interacting with someone else about it? Not necessarily. Sometimes you could be saying it out loud, and that could also be a keem of this book. What was that? Why would that be different than Shabbat?

Because even speaking it out loud could be important within the understanding. So the speaking could be different than the understanding. But yes, let's just make it easy, right? Let's not make it complicated. You're speaking to me right now is exactly what we're discussing It is right now your desire to know right do you want to you want to have the explanations of the total right? So you're engaging the debore right which is one of the lublushim of your soul But you're engaging something even more than that right namely the medos of your soul now are expressing themselves in speech Yimidos of Yerushal are expressing themselves in action. So then how can, why did you say that you're being expressed with the key of... No, no, no, he said, look at the words. Me lubashos, b'kia mamitzos, b'mysa, right? A, I could do a mitzvah in action, putting sudaka, right?

That moment when I put the money in the pushko, that's b'mysa. Or with debur of tamatora, which is tamatora's connected kulim, as we're going to discuss, why tamatora is the greatest mitzvah. Right, what were you going to say before? I'm sorry for interrupting you. Is it not like, since you're... That's right. Exactly right. Now you're getting it very well in that way. Because I myself am just like, undefined. Now the question is, how did I use... No, no, earlier you said you're embracing Russia. Yeah, because any time we engage in that moment, inappropriately... Then right now we're not right just because we've been learning to talk. That's exactly right. So what do we consider? We are striving benonim. In this minute, I could be, as we're going to see later, much later on in the year, in this minute, you can look at me and say, I'm doing the right thing, I'm enclosed in godliness, but because in five minutes from now I'm going to go to an Avera, you can't say that I'm a Tzadik.

Roy, you're an exceptionally strong person, I'm very weak. I'll probably go to an Avera in the next three minutes. Sure. Ok, that was my Avera. Yeah. It's like, I'm in Russia. No, because if you... Why am I shooting by the building now? Right now, doing a mitzvah, I should be called a tatik. Right, so that's why I'm going to wait a couple months to explain this because it will become more clear. But you're touching on a very fundamental point. Most important shot is your next shot. Roy, I wish I had your strength and discipline. I'm just a fat Rebbe feeding his nefeshah behind us every two seconds. You're like the true tzotik. I'm just saying, if you're not like that, I'm good. I went to say Zajir's I'm going to say it's not a good way of saying it. I don't know what to say at least because right now I'm doing the right thing.

You just don't do any avarice, I mean I'm sure you don't, but you know I'm saying why are you doing it? So why are you doing what are you doing now? I'm hoping you learn better in THIS Madan I'm really hoping. But then are you really hoping? That's a self fulfilling prophecy. Are you really that hoping? Because if you know you're not perfect then of course you can never be perfect. You're 100% right. There is a part of me that's like not really hoping because if I was truly truly truly hoping I'd be like the person that would never do it. That's a circular logic. You'll never get out of it. I probably won't. So what, Sondic is born outside of that circular logic? I think so. Ravi shabbat sadekim ravi shabbat sadekim ravi shabbat I wish we switched that, but it's not yet bolate to the top We don't have to.

Has qah tesvat havot havot yer? Yeah, I think so. I think that's a good way of saying it. I'm not going to have to. If you know the word Aya tesvat, I don't actually want to have to work to have fun, but I don't want to pick up on that. But I could have like chacholim to what I could have. Right. Exactly right. Okay, he's getting it. Is the Ramon of Yerunosh Vrewhal and Chassidus Vrewhal different? Kia Ha'avo Hishayesh Kol Ramah Mitzvos Asseh Because all of the positive commandments of the Umeinah ha'enem Shachos So from my love comes the opera, like, according to that, I want to chase after that mitzvah. Ubil Ador Ein L'hem Kia Mamiti Huge, huge line from the Altar Abenal, very big line in Chazedos.

The connection between avos Hashem and fulfilling the mitzvah saseh is not simply that loving God is the cause for doing the mitzvah, right? But it's even more than that. The true fulfillment of the mitzvah happens when a person is fully engaged in loving God. In other words, the way I originally said it was like this, I love my wife, therefore I want to do something for her. Right? And if she tells me what to do, I'm going to run to do it. But that's love as a cause. Okay? Now we're going to say something deeper. The fulfillment of the action that I did when it happens with love is the true fulfillment So it's like you could do something like let's I'll give you an example Let's say I took out the garbage for my wife because I love her but as I take out the garbage I'm not particularly in love with my wife. Okay, so then the action is just like you throw out the trash, right?

But how I throw out the trash will be different if I'm filled with love All right, so let's say I'm talking to my wife but I'm disengaged. So for example, what would be a really disrespectful way of speaking to your wife? If you're just on your phone while someone's talking to you, right? So because you love your wife, you might be talking to her, but you can't say that you're truly communicating with your wife because the love was not present in that moment. But imagine if you were conscious of the love that you have for your wife in that moment. So first of all, you'd put your phone away, you'd be focused on her. You would make sure to validate all of her emotions and empathize with her. You don't give solutions, you give compliments and comforts. All you have to say is this, I really hear you, that sounds really hard.

You do that, you're golden. I gave you, don't worry about it, I just solved all your shalom bias problems. And then she asks you, what should I do, no don't worry about it, you're golden. I'm not sure what to do. Me I might do this, but I can I really hear like I really hear both ways you like it just careful never to lock yourself in I'm sure they're going to be women listening to this year. It's okay. Give me your secrets So what I'm putting on fill if I'm conscious of the love that I have for God It's not just that the love that I have for God drives me to put on spillings But the way that I put on tfilen is going to be totally different because I'm going to be engaged with the actual tfilen Meaning I'm going to say like okay, God doesn't want me just to wrap straps, right?

Anyone could wrap straps on their own God wants me to have a certain consciousness It's the consciousness of Kriashma of connecting my power to my heart to my mind, right? That's all the deeper meaning behind tfilen. Yeah, Rafi We're doing something like And the Yud Kevavke Represents the Midzav of Staka Kuz the Yud is like the coin, the He is the 5 fingers that give that coin, the Vav is the connection and the He is the 5 fingers that receive the coin.

Shabbat Pishtof Qayin was a continuation of Ademirish and the Chava Nachashakat Mone He put a tattoo on himself of it. The reason is because he understood that he was a continuation of the

Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! Goraot! And so I was just saying you could read the new seva that's coming out by Isha Hashem. I assume you'll know about this. Have you heard of this? I'll be right back. I'll be right back. By Bora Chashar. Yes, I heard by new seva from and then we'll do some fermu and we'll draw it from here. That's the first one. We're collecting sponsorships right now. Baruch Hashem, we've reached... it's cost a lot of money to put together a book like editing and layout and proofreading and graphic design. But so far we've raised $4,000 since Thursday of last week. So Baruch Hashem. How much do you need? For the first day for we need probably $7,000-8,000. So we're halfway there, which is exciting. But yeah, so again, when you learn these types of things, Rafi, so then it transforms because the more you know about it, it's going to transform.

Shabbat Tanya Transformed Chassidus Gomara Khemakaim Abemes because somebody who does who's M'kaim the mitzvah in truth meaning what he doesn't just do the mitzvah but the mitzvah is an expression of his love meaning the love of the mitzvah is an expression of his love.

Mevcachim V'chom shccam v'chom v' thankshav v'chom v'cheshvom v'chom v'chom v'chom v'chom v'chom Nitzotzos Yes, you don't have to infer from that. That's what he says. He says, Kia Ha'avah Yisrael Yischol Rammam Tzvazazayu Memenah ha'imu shakhos, ubil adah elam kiamam biti, kiamam kaimum bamis, u'a'ov yis shemasham b'chavitzu davkobabam. That's what he's saying. He's saying, exactly what he's saying. Good. And now he says, takes it a step further, and this is going to be very challenging for some people. V'e'e eshlol adavkobabam eskiam de kiyum ramach pikudin. It is not possible to truly be connected to God without fulfilling the 613 what's called

in Kabbalah tikudim, means mitzvos. Okay? Why? What was that? All the mitzvos are saying. Now why? Why is he saying that guys? How many people, because remember we're speaking about Ahavah now, so that's why we're speaking about the mitzvos are saying. How many people have you heard say the following? I've got a good relationship with God. I'm tight with God. Yeah? You keep Shabbos? No, I don't keep Shabbos. It's like that famous line, you guys have heard of Rav Nach Weinberg, Zech Tzadok L'Rofe? He was the founder of Eishat Tov Rav. You ever heard of Rav Nach? So there was a story that a guy came to Rav Noah and he said to Rav Noah, I'm tight with God. I don't need all this Judaism stuff. So then I said, really, how do you know you're tight with God? You want to say you're connected to God but you can't say that you're truly connected to God without the mitzvos.

Like a husband who says, I'm connected to my wife. Connected to my wife? Really? Do you do what your wife wants? Well, no. Well then you're not connected to your wife. But I love her so much. That's nice that you love her. But love does not create connection. Mitzvos creates connection. Still an intrinsic connection. For sure. But that's, I mean, I can't say that I'm truly connected. Out there is, is an essential connection. Does he know the connection to be rich? That's right. And that's why, that's why at the end of the day, you know this to be true, Roy. Why? Because if you said to your wife, I love you, why do you need me to go to the store for you? Because if you love me, you'll go to the store for me. You understand? If you don't go to the store for her, so then something is off. Yeah, Benson. Have you ever been to like ALS? And you can't do anything with themselves? You have no connection to the Shev?

No, not at all, because first of all, even with ALS there's the Chabad Rabbi out in California that has ALS and he's doing massive amounts of this, so it's probably more than any of us, even though he has ALS. But yes, somebody who, let's say, is in a coma, right, and they retain that essential connection to Hashem, which of course should be guarded and we should take care of that person, and that we have to treat them with the godly dignity of their soul. Togem Togem Togem Shehem ramach evarim demalka kaviyachal, kamosh nisbair b'machamachah It's brought down in Zayar, the following idea, that the mitzvos assei, the Ramach mitzvos assei are the limbs, so to speak, okay, we're not speaking literally now, okay, we're speaking seriously but not literally because literally that would be kavirah, okay, so the mitzvos assei are

The Limbs of Ashem How many limbs do I have? 613 limbs right? How many positive mitzvahs are there guys? 248 positive mitzvahs. That's 248 limbs. What does that mean limbs? It means expressions that are possible of godliness. And now God has limbs. Not physical limbs. What type of limbs does God have? 248. Vehicles that carry within it. Godliness. You understand? Yeah you could say that. Meaning it

Heim teshuva mitzvah teshuva mitzvah The Ha'ira, now let's go to Leibel wants to discuss not just Ava, he wants to discuss the rest of the Mitzvoth also. So what about Yira? So, Yisrael ish, the Shasa'a Lo'Saseh. The same way that we said that the love drives you to do the Mitzvoth Saseh. And not only does it drive you to drive you to do the Hiyirah, it drives you to do the Mitzvah. So, what is the Hiyirah? Yerushar Ommos Yerushar Ommos

HaNakadosh Baruch Hu. I'm the first level because you say I don't want to rebel against the king. That's level number one. Can you say it's in the first line? Yeah, the Yerah Yisrael L'Sha'a Lo Saseh. The same way we had the 248 positive mitzvos. We have the Shasa'a Lo Saseh. What stops me from doing that? I want to stay, I want to, I'm walking by that I'm walking by that delicious looking cheeseburger, and I don't pick it up. What stops me from doing that? Yerah. What type of Yerah? Now we're going to discuss. Yarei Numerot, I don't want to be Morid B'Mautus. What does Morid B'Mautus mean? I don't want to rebel against the king. Okay, I don't want to rebel. That's the punishment. No, this is more than afraid of punishment. Right, exactly right. That's very childish level. We're speaking one level above that. Number one, this is the king.

I don't want to rebel against the king. I want to be connected to the king. That's number one. Okay? M'al E I'm Humbled That was the word you used yesterday. I liked it better than embarrassed I'm Humbled By God's Infinity That's what we discussed yesterday M' 150 Emperor Yescipl closed Ashim Absolutely And because we're humbled by his infinity they're called to us not to send Correct Why don't we do like that? You're probablyrem━ Amros Eine Kevodo as the Pasecz says. Because this creates within me, I'm aware of God's kavod and I would never want to go against that. To be... Look in the what's called? He explains very nicely here. He says, Kamashil Tammur Ha'usudavu Maguna. Let's say you have a Tammur who does something disgusting. Umpitam Nitzh Nitzh Nitzh Raba'u and as he's doing that disgusting thing, his Rebbe walks in. Sheut Sadeq Ve'kadosh V'ro'a Esmeisom The tzadek walks in, he sees you in the middle doing that despicable action.

Sheba'os sohayreggah ha'tammu yerid ve'yechraad v'yertzil v'rachl eliyechavemirav boushah What does the tammu want to do in that moment? He wants to run with every fiber of his being. I can't believe the Rebbe saw that. I'm so embarrassed. Kain v'yoyst mikain Hu Regyeh Sha'yiruv ha'abushah beleva Adam v'lassos Eizidavashu Raba'ein Hashem Right? It's like, la'vuz'eini kiv'odah means like, I would not want to be seen by God doing that. Tashi'y'yeshvop'e'emes midipnim y'zusha yerabushah This is the truth of being humbled and embarrassed before God. It means like, I would never want to do something. I have an infinite God there. How would, like, for me to do that against an infinite God, how could I do that? Velasos ha-Rabbeinav Kol toavas Hashem Hashem Shassanah And to do that which is rah which is disgusting and that he hates Hei Makliipos v'Sitraachor That's all covering up Godliness in this world. That's all the sitraachor, the opposing force, right? The opposite force of God in this world.

Asher yinikasom e Adematachton, v'achizasom mohubashasam v'zoslosasei. In Kabbalah, there's something called Adematachton, okay? How much should we get into this right now? A little bit we'll get into it right now. Basically all life forces coming into the world, okay? So, Citra Acha and Klipe get their life force from the lower elements. So they're being sustained by God, but it's getting it from Adomat Tachto, meaning when we do one of the low sasez in the Torah, that's feeding Klipe and Citra Acha. So it goes against the whole purpose of creation. In other words, your negative action had a real impact in the spiritual world. Couldn't we try to say this in a general point about it. It's kind of like, I'm kind of being like, I'm going down a bit more so my fellow Yiddim can have a better... That's exceptionally chassidish and there are certainly chassidic thinkers that thought like that.

I'm just not ready to say that right now. I'm still that much of a litvak. I can't go to say that. Is that like a... He's saying like follow the thought process that we learned and that's what he's saying. Yes, I think you're a real Ishba Ser. No, I know, I'm being annoyed, I said. You're not just being annoying, you're saying something that I believe is an element of truth. He's saying like, okay, so every time I brought the... I didn't have a... I brought the world down, right? It's like other Marishon, right? And that gives the opportunity... Why can't we do it, he was a man also. Right, and the point is you will do it. But I don't like the notion of avayra lishma, like I'm doing an avayra on purpose. Because everybody does that, that who is ever gonna know the truth. Yes, exactly, but there was such a concept. Okay, I don't want to get into it. It's too far beyond the scope. We're gonna send people over there. Yeah. What was that?

I'll go over with you privately afterwards. I want to finish up. Meaning we said we said the Yevikasam, the... Where does the... where does the Kleipa and Sitchra Ahra get? Where are they yonik from? Where are they nursing so to speak from? from, from, kleepah, where I'm saying from, our violation of the mitzvah's los haseh, that's what strengthens the cleepah in Sotrah Ahara. Velassoz Harab Beinav. Right, when I do what's right in the eyes of God, kol toav tash'mashashah sani, those things which he hates, which are disgusting. Haem kleepo sotshah Ahara, that is the kleepah in Sotshah Ahara in the world. Asheel Yeh nikassam, where does this kleepah in Sotshah Ahara get fed from? From these mitzvahs los haseh. V'hine shloshe levushim elu me'atorom mitzvoszah These three Levushim, what are the three Levushim? Speak on Pazij, you thought, and how do you say it in Hebrew?

Maisah dibor makhshavo, or ma'shavah dibor maisah Thinking, speaking, action. These three Levushim, in the godly soul that represent Tyre and Mitzvos Avshinikraim Levushim Lenefesh Rofunashama Ezzor, we are calling them clothing for the Nefeshuruch and the Shammah. In Kolzeit, nevertheless, Gautlam alwasom le'enkeitz v'sof almailash Nefeshuruch and the Shammah atzma. Nefesh Rachan Teshama Machshavah Dibur Vamaisu, that's only the levush. What's more important guys? What would you say from this perspective? Is it Dibur Maseyin and Machshavah? No, you would say the opposite, because remember the Dibur Maseyin and Machshavah are the clothing, right? The nevashur Rachan Neshama is the actual components of the actual soul. So what would you say is more important? The soul. And yet the Altarev is a doubt to argue that not only is that not true, the levushim are infinitely more important than the soul. Don't ask me to explain it yet.

Let me get through this, I'm not calling you, okay? Because I don't want to stop you. We have press sends from... No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, it doesn't make sense yet. The next line... No, I'm saying with the parents. If your parents, if their vush is wrong, then your entire soul can be screwed up. No, no, he's saying something else. He's saying something else. You! The thing that... Yeah. I suppose I don't guess. He's going to say it clearly. You don't have to guess. It's amazing what he says. Kimosha Kostuduzoa. This is what guzoa means when it explains his follows. Last line for the day. De'o Ra'isa What is O Ra'isa guys? The Torah. The Kuchabrythu, which is, what does Kuchabrythu mean? Hashem, very good. Kula Chad. So listen to this. God and the Torah are one. Now what does it mean God and the Torah are one?

Pirish D'oraisah, the Torah, Hichach Maso is the wisdom or its sono and the will, Shalakadosh Baruch. So the will and wisdom of God is in the Torah. Nhatan yet, v'hachkadosh Baruch, ubechodov, asmokul ochadim. What do we say about God? God is one. So remember earlier this year we quoted, we said, K'ihu ha'yodayyav'ahu hamad tavashqasav'le l'geshaym arambam. In the beginning of Perek Bays we explain the following concept. We are not one with our thoughts. Right? Because you can, what do you say? I think. So you're not one with your thoughts. But God who is one, right, is one with his thoughts. Meaning God himself is his thoughts, so to speak. Okay? So when God's wisdom is in the Torah, what does that tell you is in the Torah? Not God's thoughts. Hashem because God is one with his wisdom. Hisham is the Torah, the Torah and Hashem are one because God is one with His thoughts.

What does everything mean when we see the Torah? Obviously on a deep level is not, but again, even from the perspective of God, God is one with His thoughts, therefore God's thoughts are one with Him, these are God's thoughts, therefore this is Ku Lachan, it's all one with God. Watch this. Are my Nefeshruch and Neshamah one with God? Not really. Not in the same way, right? Because my Nefeshruch and Neshamah are like the ray of the sun, right? It's linked, right? But it's an expression. But when I learn Torah, what am I engaging with, guys? Meaning my clothing. Because not my soul. Let me give you the explanation. When I'm learning Torah, that's 97. Let's say I'm thinking about Torah, right? One of my Levushim is my Makhshavn, right? So my soul by itself is connected to God It's an expression like a ray of the sun, but when my soul is clothed in godliness How is my soul clothed in godliness?

When I for example one of the Levushim of the soul is my Makhshavn. When my Makhshavn I was engaged in thinking about Torah What is engaged with? God Himself because Torah and God are one. You understand? So you're making connection with Hashem? Oh, so you're connecting your soul which has been ending, it's called a whole disconnector. Correct! So in a certain way you have a paradox, right? Because on the one hand when it comes, not a paradox, you have a little bit of a contradiction. When it comes to a person I would always say, Jonathan is more important than his clothes. This is a very deep concept, right? Because clothes I can always replace. So Jonathan is what's important. Comes along the altar of Ebenez and says that's true for a person. But on the spiritual level it's not true. Why? Tawrah and God are one. So when I think about Tawrah, speak about Tawrah or do a mitzvah. What am I engaging with? God Himself. It's not just God's wisdom so to speak as if God's wisdom could be separated from Him. Because God and His wisdom are one. Be Pearson or Gavavit Gadla Ma'alassim L'incates So what has happened to the non-Tudah?
