Be'kivun El'alameinu apnimi yeshnu'ol emu amak. Todushi yeshpizah. Ravol be'her introduces an important concept in Muslim. It's not simply nidos rectification. It's a concept called kedushah. What is kedushah? Ma'i kedushah. Yavotar, Tumviyo chiyel. Sometimes if you want to know what something is, you have to know what it's not. So Tommah will tell us what Kadusha is by looking at the flip side of the coin we can understand the coin. Hametameh atzmah chassudushalim Mashlid al atzmah tayvassagof the chunriyasalim When somebody is living in a state of Tommah chassudushalim, the shlit, the control, the power is given over to tayvassagof, the desires of the body, and the physical aspects of the world. Milvadzos Furthermore, not only this, Hukorem le Tamtem Libo Le Balyage Shkal Bematsava When a person lives from the perspective of Tumma, so he is metamtem his life, we'll see what that means, and he becomes somebody who is unfeeling regarding his situation. Healthy people feel the feelings.
In a state of Tumma, we don't feel those feelings. And that's why the Pasak says in the Maranuma darshans, Altikri Venitmasam bam, Elav Venitamtam bam. There is an internal connection between Tumma and Timtom. Timtom is the unfeeling heart. Tame is the state of being that brings you into a place of being unfeeling. So you'll hear that people describe themselves as no. I don't feel anything. I lack motivation. I don't enjoy life Right. This is a state of Tumma. This is a taint of Tim Tumma'alayf Tim Tumma'alayf who Ihargash Abat's made of. It's a person who is unfeeling in themselves. They're not living with themselves They're not alive in that way. So I had the chubakdushah. So then what does it mean to live in a state of kadushah? Milvad mashihe mero memes za'adam me'al legoph buchal me'a. It's more than that. Booniyeh er. He becomes awake. He becomes alive. Al yad ala har gish ba'atzmo mazzavu lahakimakamu. A person who lives in a state of kedusha, they feel themselves. They sense themselves. They understand their place. So for example, people who live in a state of Tommah very often can be tremendously narcissistic and they won't know their place. They're always trying to expand their boundaries, being beyond what they ought to be. They're not comfortable with themselves. So they have a need to say either I'm the best or I'm the worst at something. They can't appropriately recognize their place. Why not? Because they're living from the state of Tommah. Now I want to take this a step further. Vobbe doesn't say this, but I think Rav Vobbe understood that we should understand this. In Chassidos, the definition of kedusha and Tommah is transparent versus opaque.
So kedusha is when something has transparency. It reveals its godly nature. Toma is when it's opaque, when it doesn't reveal its godly nature. Here's the catch. When a person lives with a state of kedusha, they live with an abundance mentality because they're filled up by the infinite. When a person lives with a toma mentality, they're living in an opaque state where they They don't recognize their godly soul and as a result they have an impoverished mentality. So people for example who don't spend time being focused on God, davening, isbodas, learning, all of those things are meant to produce you. They're meant to bring you in touch with the avishta. The more you're in touch with the avishta, the more you recognize godliness fills up
Joe Cool How many of you have heard this muscle from me before? Some of you. Okay, nice one. Joe Cool is the high school quarterback in Texas Friday Night Lights. He is being scouted by college teams, Division I. He's got it all. He's got the prom queen as his girlfriend. And now comes Friday night. They're playing against their state rivals, right? Obviously. And with no time left in the clock, scrambling, he avoids three tackles off of one leg. Hail Mary. Perfect end zone catch. Gets two feet in. They call the touchdown. And how many poker chips? How much currency did he just get in his life? Millions of poker chips. The town loves them. His picture is plastered in the barbershop window. Right? The homecoming dance is that next Sunday night, right? You guys are the men. So Monday morning in class, when the teacher asks a question, Jokul raises his hand. You know why? Because even if he gets it wrong, even if he gets it wrong and the entire class laughs at him for getting it wrong, he only lost 10,000 poker chips. He can afford to play the game of life because he's got millions of poker chips. You're not afraid to go in on a deal if you've got millions of dollars. But, David, the learning disabled kid, is not cool. He's socially awkward. He's never
He's never been good at relationships. He's not good in school and he doesn't have many friends. In fact, he's bullied. So he gets up in the morning and his mother loves him dearly and she wants to give him some poker chips. She takes out his pants before he wakes up and she puts them on the radiator so that his pants will be warm in the morning. When he puts on his pants, he feels, my mother loves me. It's 50,000 poker chips. Then he gets, he comes out, his mother made him his favorite pancake breakfast. It's 50,000 poker chips. She heated up the syrup just so that it would be that much better. He knows, he feels it. My mother loves me. 50,000 poker chips. He's starting his day with 150,000 poker chips. He gets on the bus, trips on the stairs on the way up, and somebody calls out from the back of the bus, loser on board. He just lost 500,000 poker chips.
It's better for that kid not to go to school. Because that kid, when he goes to He's coming with such an impoverished mentality. Now, he's already down a couple hundred thousand poker chips before he even started school. So when the teacher asks a question, even if David thinks, maybe I know the answer, how much currency does it take for David to raise his hand? Because if he gets it wrong, he's already in deficit. He's already living in minos, or in minos, as we say in Israel. So David will play the game of life one of two ways. I will either play with reckless abandon, turning to drinking and drugs, becoming a member of a gang, depending on what society you're in, right? Because I'm not going to win at the game of life anyway. College isn't an option for me, right? Or he's going to play the game so conservatively that he's going to be miserable for his entire life, never taking a risk, never having any vulnerability, because what would be the point?
I'm just going to get shot down. You understand the difference between David the Learning Disabled Kid and Joe Cool? Well it's the same exact thing when it comes to our relationship with God. Those who have a relationship with God live with an abundance mentality. We can do anything. We have an infinite amount inside of us and we are not afraid to fail because even if we fail miserably, even if we fall right on our face, we know it's okay because I've got an infinite amount of poker chips. You understand? So when it comes to the godly soul, the one who's living from a state of kedusha, the The notion of not dovening is silly. It's free money. Imagine you had, and this is a terrible story, but many years ago I knew a young man who found a credit card of what turned out to be an elderly lady on the streets. And he used that credit card for six months while he was in Israel. Six months. Six months before this elderly lady realized that she was the Is a victim of fraud? Ok. Do you know how much theft he perpetrated in those six months? He kept saying one day it's gonna end but until that time I'm gonna keep going. When he went to the makkole he used her credit card. When he went out to
eat he used her credit card. When he had to buy a bus cut he used her credit card. When you have somebody else's credit card, especially foreign country right? You're I don't know but you put you know ten thousand dollars on there over the last couple months he's like that probably won't happen that was the by the way he was later convicted for fraud in his state and had to move to a different state to start a new business none of us were shocked when we heard this. He was that type of guy very dishonest. Kim Tumalev, unfeeling. What about that elderly lady? What about the credit card company? So it's not nice right? Then there are people that they're so not I'm not God conscious that the notion of waking up for Davening is an impoverishing feeling. Like, I'm so tired. Yeah. But, you know, when you're so tired, somehow you show up to work.
What's the shot that you show up to work? Because at work, I'm going to get money. You understand? So their vision is I'm going to go where, and it makes sense, I'm going to go where the abundance is. So for them, because God is not a part of their life, going to Davening is the taxing For the Godly persons going to the Davening, that's the amazing part. Even if that person slept in and didn't go to minium because they were target, which is a real thing, they would make sure to daven, and daven for real. Because the feeling would be, it's an opportunity. It's not a burden. If it's a burden to us, it's because we're coming from an impoverished mentality. And by the way, everyone's going to do this in their life. We're all going to run after the abundance and run away from the impoverished mentality. The only question is, where you put your priorities? Right? So we're putting our priorities in this shiur, we're trying to put our priorities on the essence. We're trying to have an abundance mentality when it comes to kedusha and godliness.
Make sense? Ok. Yeah? You just separated the part that you said, you added from the part that I revolved with. So the part that I added is, I think it's explaining what Revolbe said. Revolbe is saying, kedusha means you could feel. I'm adding what I think revolving means is when I have an infinite amount of currency because I'm connected to my infinitely godly soul, I have license to feel because feeling my feelings can sometimes hurt, right? But I'll be okay even if I'm in pain. Yeah. How does that play out in like a life situation saying I have a living amount of shit because Mevaseret Chazim Reqasim r If you believe you have an infinite amount of chips, you won't be reckless because you want to use those chips for infinite purposes, not for reckless purposes. But I'll give you an example of what I mean.
Let's say you're married, okay? Let's say your wife does something that's hurtful to you. You now have, let's say, three choices in front of you, perhaps more, but let's say three. Option number one, I could choose to get angry, inappropriately. Flash back. Option number two, I could choose to confront her, appropriately. Option number three, I could choose to ignore her. Take the loss. I'm not saying that there's not an appropriate time to confront. I'm questioning how many people confront their spouse because they can't take the loss. You understand the difference? In other words, everyone agrees that acting out of anger, right? Let's say she did something wrong. Everyone agrees that you don't have the right to be abusive just because somebody did the wrong thing. Let's start with that as the baseline. But now I have two choices in front of me. Now it might be the infinite choice to confront because sometimes we have to confront things to work with them.
But not always. In fact, sometimes an person, every decision is unique, right? Every situation is unique. But sometimes we have to be able to say, it's really not that big a deal. And I can take the loss because I have an abundance mentality. So it hurts. I'm going to lose a couple thousand poker chips, but I'm going to continue to be an upstanding husband and father despite the fact that this hurt me. And in the long term, that's so much more of a win, right? Sometimes you've got to take the loss to get the win. So I can't tell you, you shouldn't confront. And there are situations where you should do this, but if you confront every time, you're not confronting. All you're doing is being abusive in a nice way. Oh, sure, because usually if I'm not confronting, ever, it's not coming from an abundance mentality.
It's coming from a fearful mentality that we won't be able to have a relationship if you know that there's something I don't like. And then you're not in a relationship with that person anyway, right? Because you're in a relationship with a version of yourself that's not even true. The truth is, this thing that you do, it's hard for me. Nothing bad has been shown, but let's say you were in a relationship with somebody, let's say you were in a relationship with a roommate. And the roommate was messy. There's nothing wrong with saying, this is a shared space, let's all figure out how we can share it together. Tanya Rebbe Mevaseret chazim Mevaseret chazim Mevaseret chazim toval Yisrael toval toval toval Abundance? You're saying let's say I was a single guy living with a roommate working at a job. And in my job I'm getting my abundance mentality. Will that impact my roommate?
Not willing to impact the roommate but you're saying if you can't change your roommate, should you tell it? Because you can just let that go even if that creates a negative in you and your roommate. Yeah for sure because the abundance occurs within me. So if I'm getting the abundance from my job, if I'm getting the abundance from my marriage, it'll impact a lot of different areas because it's all within me. I'm arguing that if you're getting the abundance mentality from something you do, that's going to be very, you know, that's the stock market man, that goes up and down, right? But if you get the mentality from something you are, if you recognize I have an infinite godly soul, then it doesn't matter if I get fired from my job, and it doesn't matter if, because there was downsizing, it doesn't matter if my children don't like what I'm doing, it doesn't matter if I tell me them don't like what I'm doing. I'm living with that integrity and I'm okay to say this person could be upset at me.
What was the term you used to have an infinite godly soul? I have an infinite godly soul that resides within me. Yeah. So basically, let's give a situation of a person working at a job that he completely hates, right? Yeah. But he cares about his family so he keeps doing it. Is it not detrimental to him to keep working at a job that he hates, just knowing that it will help his family? No. I think that might even be an excellent example of something that could go one of two ways. The abundance mentality person might be able to say, I'm going to leave this job and find something that I truly love to do, I have the confidence, the healthy, not the arrogance, but the healthy confidence to say, I'm going to find something that I love. Well, I'm going to be seized beyond the enjoyment of working out. Oh, right, and the opposite is also food.
The abundance mentality in that case could say, I don't need to have a job that I love. I need to have food on the table for my family because that's what it means to be a responsible adult. I know somebody just recently, I was talking to him last night, one of the guys back in America, and he was telling me that he made a big move in his life. Tevilatiyeth but sometimes if its coming from an abundance mentality you could be soybl a terrible boss or an uncomfortable job because the pie is bigger than the piece. People say something to allow the confidence of... A little louder cause I'm a little deafened here. The confidence versus arrogance? Yeah. What's the point of improving? The difference in confidence and arrogance is the source. So if I am the source of confidence it's arrogance. If God is the source then it's confidence.
Arrogance looks like this. I don't have an abundance mentality. So I'm gonna inflate myself or deflate myself as a different type of arrogance. But let's just talk about the regular inflating type of arrogance. I'm gonna inflate myself to overcompensate for the fact that I don't have enough. It's not an accurate perception of the reality of yourself. It's arrogant. Confidence is the accurate perception of reality. Since it's rooted in God, God gave me these talents. They're not exaggerated. This is the truth. This is the truth, I do have these talents. I'm good at giving this year, but I'm not good at other things. But that's okay. Right? And that's confidence. If a guy has the capacity to get up and speak and inspire people, and he chooses to stay quiet because he's afraid of what people will think about him, that's arrogance. It's not an accurate portrayal of the reality.
It's like an incompetence. Right, it seems like a lack of competence for a member. That's a form of arrogance, right? Arrogance is both ways. Arrogance is I don't have enough. I'm going to deflate or inflate my ego accordingly. Gila. I am in a manner. Shul. Where's the balance between... I guess in a relationship somebody hurts you. Where's the balance between Accepting the loss and the fear of holding the resentment. So the rambam explains, the rambam says, the Pesach says, Lo tisme sachicho bebavachachim You shall not hate your brother in your hearts. The rambam explains. Why not? Because what happens is these things fester. See, a lot of people, they say, and you'll hear this a lot. And by the way it's usually from the people that are lying about it. They go, I just forgot about it. No you didn't. You are harboring massive amounts of resentment.
I love it when you four are in a different year than everyone else. You guys will get there soon. You're harboring massive amounts of resentment and you're just pretending. And then they go like this. This is my favorite one. They go, no, I legitimately forgot about it. No, you're legitimately lying to yourself. You're harboring that resentment. You're taking it with you. That will impact the relationship, 100%. But there are also healthy people that cannot harbor resentment. There are also healthy people that could see people who are spiritually sick and say, okay, that's their sickness, that's their illness, that's their thing. And I'm not going to take that in. B'bir seder habrachos shalatfila amrina uma ra'ulomar bina akher kadusha So whatever is happening here. Make sense? Okay. Bye. Simulon Dallar. B'vir seidir habrachos shalatfilah amreinah. Umar Raulom ar Bina achah kedushah. Gomar an Megillah. She should all be learning. She should be learning.
Gomar an Megillah says, why does Bina come after kedushah? Atahon illadim das. Malam illa'annosh. Bina. Why does Bina come after Kedushah? Shenever ve'k di'sho es Kedosh Yaakov, ve'es Elo K'esol Yeritzu, ve'z Sommach le'viyodu to'eruach Bina, haremim masha omrim Kedushah Zocham le' Kedushah, uv'amahi missvat'es She'yodim Bina, Sarhat Timto, v'imashah Huyutu'eruach Niyu'yodep Bina. So he says an unbelievable thing. When you say Kedushah in Davening, you're Zocha to Kedushah. Say Kedushah, By the way, that's why it's important to say kedusha, right? Because saying kedusha in Davening gives you a kedusha world view, right? And from kedusha, yeah, how is kedusha expressed? Through the thoughtfulness of Bina. Bina is Sarha Timtam. Bina is the officer over this unfeeling heart. If you want to be a feeling person, you need a kedusha. Kedusha will express itself in thoughtfulness, in mindfulness. So that's why today there's such an unbelievable revolution and I highly recommend it. The new safer just came out on mindfulness in Judaism.
It's called Living in the Presence by Dr. Benji Epstein. I highly recommend it because this is what he's talking about. Kedushah Bina if you're living from a place of this Godly worldview, right if you have that godly worldview that's gonna bring you to a place of that mindfulness Bina Bina will lead to feeling thoughts lead to feelings. That's why in Chassidus The parents are called the intellect and the children are called the emotions, right? If you're towei ruach you'll be yo debina if you're somebody who can feel those feelings you can be spiritually alive If you live, you'll have beena. K'etat anamachayi b'kiva nalaxmah. How does a person live with a focus on himself? Meaning not the selfish part, you understand. But a focus on working on yourself. Lukubal Beshaim ha-Balshem Tov. It is...there's a Kabbalah, it's a Kabbalah, a tradition from the Balshem Tov.
Kol Masha Anu Roim Risaviv Lanu, anything we see that's occurring outside of ourselves, Hu kimo rei asher bo ha-hshkocha hal yona maralano ashat's menu. Kasehe kivun hamabatak khemuim. If you see something happening outside of yourself, it's a message of what's happening inside of yourself So if you're walking down the street, this is the way the Baal Shamm Tephedah said it, if you're walking down the street and you see somebody being Mechal Shabbos, you needed to see them The Hashem Shkachah brought that person to that place so that you should see them Now, Gevre, if you see somebody being Mechal Shabbos, driving a car on Shabbos and your response is to throw a rocket at them Do you understand how connected Judaism that is? Not only for the obvious problem. What's the obvious problem? You said it aside from Hashem before Shabbos. Aside from let's say, Hosh Baruch Hashem is the big lambdul and he's figured out how to get around the muxesh.
Yeah? It doesn't send the best message. Yeah, okay, so you know, I always, I like to give the muscle. Imagine a car is driving on Qishahad on Shabbos. Tukah Ston. Whirled it at the car. You smashed the windshield. The guy goes into a 360 spin multiple times, stops, gets out of the car, looks up at you and says, thank you so much. I totally forgot that it was Shabbos. Aside from the fact that that will never happen. And so because it will never happen, it's just such a terrible idea to get aside from that. The Baal Shem Tov is saying something much, much more than that. What's the Baal Shem Tov saying? It was for you. The message wasn't supposed to be for him. The life goal of a Jew is not, I see somebody else, I want to give them mussar. It's I see somebody else, it's a mussar for me.
You understand? That's why it's such an amazing way. If you live your life that way, you'll start to ask yourself, Whoa, why did I need to see that? Now don't do the following. Don't try to interpret what God's message was. We will never know that. That's speculative. But Yefashvashvam myself, look at your actions. Ask yourself, How will I walk away differently from this? So I'll give you the classic example is the Baal Shem Tov said that he once saw somebody being Mahal Shabbos And he spent a lot of time thinking about why did he need to see somebody being Mahal Shabbos? And he started looking through all of his Shabbos behaviors, and he said my Shabbos behaviors are good I'm good on that level so why would I need to see that and then he remembered that in Chassidus and in Kabbalah, I guess he called it Kabbalah right because What would he have called it? He was first starting Chassidus, so he He said at Tzadik is the Bechina of Shabbos and he had seen at Tzadik who was being treated inappropriately and he didn't say anything So he saw I had a chilis Shabbos You understand as we brought it back inside of himself. Yeah, we ask question Yeah, would you say the same thing like like in terms of throwing a rocket a car in terms of maya sharm
Hasvasham we don't label communities maya sharm is a wonderful beautiful community where there are thousands upon thousands of Jews some of whom An unfortunate amount, a significant amount, but an unfortunate amount do things like that on Shabbat. So that's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. Okay, let's say this. You're talking about those people, okay? Okay. They're not sharm people, they're not charadim, right? We don't give big labels to things. These people that do the inappropriate thing. If I see that, it happened to me. It's weird, I've never seen it. I just heard about it. It must happen, news people must really be living their lives. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I know it does. I've never seen it. It's terrifying. I've seen them throw rocks at soldiers. Terrible. But if I saw them throw rocks at a soldier, I would want to know why I saw it. You understand the difference?
Yeah? So you said that we shouldn't interpret what God is doing, but we should still take it and make it internal if we see something about it. If I saw it, it is correct. Because if I sit there and play the game of why does God do things, then you're gonna end up with this. So how do you think? God brought the Holocaust because. It's totally speculative. God brought a Holocaust, so how am I gonna respond? It's a godly message with a human touch. Can you give a different example? Sure. Ena there's a bird that the Torah says is Aser. It goes by three different names. It goes by three different names. The Torah says it three different times. I said this before? And it's a bird that has tremendous sight. It's called a ra'a. It has tremendous sight. The Gemara says the sight is so great that this bird would fly over Bavel in Iraq and it would be able to see all the way to the hills of Israel and it could see the carcasses on the hills of Israel.
So the question is, so why is it Asher? Because usually we Asher things because of a particular negative meadah that that animal has but if this animal has such amazing vision it should be, not only it should be mutter, it should be a mitzvah, right? It should all work on our vision. So the beautiful Chassidic answer that I saw is if you have such amazing sight and you can see from Bavel to Eretz Yisrael and the only thing you can see are the carcasses, that's a terrible, terrible bird to eat. You wouldn't want to bring that type of bird inside of you. You get it? If you're seeing the carcasses, there's a reason you're seeing the carcasses. It's not the shot that, why is it, I mean why is it that two people could see the same Rebbe is a very different thing. One of them has this negative nasty attitude and the other has this beautiful world feeling.
Let's say you have a talmud that's doing something. Inappropriate. One Rebbe might agree that this talmud needs a discipline. But they sound very different. Oh my God, he's such a bum. Or he must really be in pain. How can we help him? We need to discipline him because we need to teach him that his behavior is inappropriate. It's reflective of what's going on inside of themselves. One of the nastiest things is when you're in a meeting and you're talking about a person's life and you have people, important people, Rebbeim who just speak in such a low way about Talmidim. I'll tell you, I have a voice note on my phone and I can't play it for you because it'll be lashin' harah. I was very offended by this voice note. Rebbe in a different yeshiva left a message for Rebbe and he said, oh my God, your guys are a bunch of bums, they're disgusting.
I saw their behavior, it was awful. It was like a seven second voice note. I can't play it because it could be you'll start to understand things. So this Rebbe shared with me this voice note and I responded, I can't take his mussar seriously because who speaks like that about talmidim? 18 years old is still young. People make mistakes. You hear the difference? By the way, you know the difference, right? Because you know the Rebbe that calls you Tzavik that doesn't really think you're Tzavik, right? You know the Rebbe that goes, hey Tzavik, how's it going? Mebat is an expression. Kivun like the path. Okay? Laman Nismuchah parsha smiradlam laparsha smiriam. I did. Laman Nismuchah parsha nazir laparsha sotah. Why is the parshah of nazir next to the parshah sotah? Laman lakash kolayroah sotah bakol kuli asmaraat zomun aayayin. Famous Gemaran sotah. Anybody who sees a
sotah in her broken state has to take a vow of nazirah. They shall not drink wine. Be'ra Ose Adam B'kal Kalto, when you see somebody in a broken place, Hinnani Roa takuf has atzmi, you have to look inside of yourself. Ummotze kosi buchei achit gam banashi, you have to find all the complex things that went into there that you saw. It's in you. Ummakkama haboz waharoges alachote hinnani mechapes etos lanaashi, when you see the terrible embarrassment that this khotai, this sinner, this sota, Has to go to? If I saw it, it must be. It's a little bit at me and now I need to take lessons from that. Shalom A'chol Kamosot, I won't fall into that same thing. Kacha Adem Chayb Kiva Nalatsmo. That's how a person lives in an internal way. You see something happening outside of yourself? It's not happening outside of yourself.
It's happening inside of yourself. Learn your lesson. Listen to your messages. Another one. Laman Nisvach parashim Miraglam loparshash Miriam. Why is the parashash of Miraglam next to the parashash of Miriam? L'afisha laxal eschidibos shaddibrabaachah v're'sha malalu roav v'alalakhumusr The Magishraba says because they saw that Miriam spoke Loshan Hara about her brother Moshe and what happened she was Thrown out of the camp she got Taras and these Miraglim were there and they should have seen it and said why did we need to See this because you're gonna be the Miraglim one day don't say Loshan Hara about Eretz Yisrael Don't say negative things about Eretz Yisrael. Eretz Yisrael by the way is the lightning rod for this Rosh Suzzot is the lightning rod for negativity. That's why the Gemara says that you can see carcasses in Eretz Estarah. You can always find the carcasses in Eretz Estarah. You can always sit there and you can say this secular idea and that terrible thing. You can always find the carcasses in Eretz Estarah. Very easy to dredge up carcasses. There are some siddiqim that's not where they're using their sight. They see past the Avera. They see to the person, to the soul.
R'a'u v'alayam lon naga ha'ma'ora Klal They saw this event and it didn't impact them at all. El toch olamah apnimi lo chadu'adv'arim It never got inside of them, they never took the message. Yisrael Hishtaymin Shabbah adzakilosam Chazar Hishtayim We should be blown away. Hishtaymin, we should be blown away. Chazar called the Meradim Rishot. Who were the Meradim guys? They were the same kamisro. But were they Rishai? Why? Halah wa tzedikam a'yavah usosha. Umani gay'a'am. What are you talking about? These were the leaders of the generation. Rakhlafi Rong dargas daraamidbar HaYa Allah HaMalei ishtaq lal ma'isa Miriam b'kifun al-Aqsmah. But it was because of the greatness of the daraamidbar that they should have looked at Miriam, taken the mussar and said, Ah! It's for me. It's a message for me. La hafti zi hirus b'dibir al-aymik nasham. They should have walked out of that shaking. I never want to say loshan hara'a again.
Lola Qumusr Why were they shawm? What does the Magister Abba say? Because if you don't take mussar you're a Rasha. Powerful. If you don't take mussar you're a Rasha. Let's go a little vaytir. M'am teshuvach hai shem saviv, lobavachum maela adam nagayatzam Elo m'ar yur gam kisufa Elo. When you start to look around you, not only will it help you build your internal world, but it'll give you kisufim, drive, ambition. M'atsinu kisifriy Allah Pasip, we find the Tefrezez K'yam Kadosh Atala Shammah L'Kathah You are a holy nation to God. Kadosh Atzmah Chabim mutaluchchot You should be mekadash yourself with what is mutter to you. D'varim ham utarim, v'achayim no'agim b'ham isr, al taseyarim b'fnei'im. L'chora hiname v'ninim, kil faneinu gedir sh'zahirah spirochshos hamachmirim. Shemian higu heter bif nayem alulim gom lohoroz heter la'atsmam v'lymfomim adre gossim ulam lefise biltimuva Shassafri korolzek kaddish atzmachach shaharei einkandin benoik heter elohudin b'machmir lebaluzach Ube hachir shassafri megalib b'zagethir niflubikadoushah B'Motsibin zahirim yosimimeni allayla o'rivitzoni leos kamosim Don't be afraid if you see people that are being machmir, vahramam utari, vachayrim no'agim bam iser, it's mutter.
And you find people that say this again, it's mutter to eat a burger. And you find people that say, no, I don't eat meat during the week, I only meet on Shabbos. Don't be afraid of them. Don't be afraid of them. Altez arib'veneh, don't be afraid of them. So what would we think? We would think that if Amgimim no'agheter in front of them, right, maybe it's going to bring them down. So don't eat a burger on a Wednesday in front of people that have been machman say I'm not even meat during the week because maybe it's going to take down them. No. That's not what he means. He says it's not a dininniug hetter. We're not worried about that. It's going to create in you if you will surround yourself with people. If you will surround yourself with people that are growth oriented people, it will impact you.
Willa kol hapachos bisman Heyosu M'ritsasam lis nayim kfimin havam. And when you're around them, you may do like them. Maybe it won't last, but when you're around them, you will do like them. K'mo aroah Sotah Chayev lidir atzmo misibas kalkula. K'acharo am yishar am Chayev l'ar atzmo zahirus. D'zeru gedir shakadusha. When you see a Sotah, so you have to protect yourself. Chayev lidir, you have to make boundaries so that you don't end up falling into the same place. It's not just that. Now let's say I saw someone who saw Sotah Belkukula. So let's say I see Ruvein and Ruvein saw Miriam, Belkukula. And she's in the Beis Hamikdash and she's to drink the water and she's to be dressed in the tatters that she's dressed in. So if Ruvein who saw it has to be Machmir, because what's going to happen, hey, it's happening in me. And I see Ruvein and now he's acting differently what's going to happen to Mirabaisai.
Now I'm going to have Kisufim to be like Reuven. That's what it means to be around growth oriented people. Last but not least, let's finish up the last paragraph. Hamakir Yisma Koma, what does it mean to know your place? He asks us hamaylo sha'atarah niklas band. The mission of the Bible says this is one of the many maylos that the Torah is acquired through them. Vihinim atzina b'parashis Yisrael. Vigama kohannam anigashim l'asham yis kadshu. B'rashi anigos no Hashem l'hakir yev karbanos al yismuchu al chachivusom l'allos Rashi says those that are niggash to Hashem, those that are drawing close to Hashem, to bring Karbanos should not be somech on their own Chachivos to go up. Yisqadshu, what does it mean Yisqadshu? Yu mukhanim lehiziatsi v'alamda Gomkan gether nishro shekadushah Shayam du b'malke manikvolehim, they're standing in the place that's established for them. V'lo Yis M'chua'a Hashi Vouson L'Skarav Yoser And they're not being somen on their own importance to go closer, why?
Hara Yerchul L'Skarav Yoser Ha'sham They want to get closer to God. Vi'yachshavu kimitsar ma'alasom mutter But they look at themselves and they look at their maylas and they say, It'd be mutter for me to draw closer. V'ul'a'af magi'alah hav l'Skarav Yoser And maybe it's even coming to me, it's magi'alim. V'omor l'am Hashem ki kedushi'idachil hakiras makomom No, no, no, no. Kedushah means don't rely on your own self-importance to draw closer even if it's coming to you. Kedushah means know your place. V'leos mukhan b'prepared l'amo b'makamo, to stand in your place, v'laddas an' tanno. Kib'eshum eifen, under no circumstances. Eim l'chappes his allos ve'kirvas el kim b'chut some kamom. Do not draw close to God in a place that's not yours. He call his alles tzipuya l'adam achverak de kyvun al-atzma because all his alles, all elevation only comes from where guys? From you. You gotta know your place. I but I want to be in his place. His place is for him. Your place is for you. Know your place. And somebody who leaves their place, arrogant people, angry people, people who constantly find themselves in arguments. They are leaving their place, Mitzrachik Me'atzmo, they are leaving themselves. Kedushvez alos L'Yimseb E'Richik Me'atzmo You will never find Kedushvah and Annalavation when people leave themselves. Rabbi, so we have to stop here for today. I walk out of here.
