Chayei Sarah: Death and Marriage

The Torah tells us in great detail about Avraham Avinu's purchase of Mearas Hamachpela from Efron. It seems that it was of great significance to Avraham that Sarah Imeinu be buried in this particular cave. Why?

The Torah tells us that we have an obligation to get married but doesn't tell us how to do so, Chazal learn out the process of marriage from the purchase of the field of Efron. Upon first glance it seems like a rather morbid connection. Is marriage really so terrible that its source is found in the purchase of Sarah's burial plot?

In this shiur Rav Burg expounds upon working with people who are angry at Hashem, the nature of marriage, the soul and its connection to its counterpart in this world.
